This affordable tutoring service is designed to meet your unique needs as a bilingual young adult or adult who wants to study online.  Each course includes a password protected ESL Study Center, a study plan, online classroom lessons and the regular exchange of email or telephone messages with your ESL Instructor.  All instruction is provided in English by a certified teacher with many years of classroom and online teaching experience.

» When you begin instruction at Q.E.T.S, a personal ESL Study Center is set up for your use.  There you will access your assignments, listen to audio clips, view presentations, and download study materials that have been created to meet your specific needs.  You will also be able to answer quiz questions and send comments directly to your ESL Instructor. 

» All learning activities are developed using the "communicative" approach to language teaching.  The lessons are based on units from Interchange Third Edition, which is a 4-level course for adult and young adult learners of English.  Each textbook includes an audio CD for use with listening activities. 

Recommended English Skill Level for Online Instruction

Since this is an online tutoring program taught in English, it is important that you have some basic computer and typing skills, are able to access the Internet from your computer, and have some proficiency in basic conversational English.

Course Activities

You will be assigned a password protected personal ESL Study Center at Q.E.T.S.

Your ESL Instructor will develop a course Study Plan that will help you achieve your personal goals.

The ESL Instructor will maintain monthly calendar pages with your Study Schedule.

You will receive Lessons that reinforce course objectives, assist you in the identification of weak skill areas, and help you master new English language skills.

Workbook activities will be posted for each new lesson.  These will include both textbook assignments and other skill-building exercises.

Vocabulary activities will be posted for each lesson to help you master new words and phrases.

Your progress will be monitored throughout the course with lesson quizzes.  The Quiz page provides instructions for completing these activities.

After every quiz, the ESL Instructor will post feedback on your performance on the Analysis page.

Review activities will be posted that will help you focus on those skills that need more work.

Links will be provided for Online follow-up and enrichment activities on the Internet.

Evaluation Methods

Workbook exercises and review quizzes will be used to track your progress through this course.  Each Student's Book contains "progress checks" and a listening "self-study" section.
